For a while now I have been telling my students to create their own product. Want to know the most common objections?

“But I can’t write.” “I don’t have any ideas.” “Everything has been done before.”

Well, here is a great way to generate your first product. Find someone who is interesting and interview them. Really, it is that easy. Surely, you know someone who is very good at what they do. Why not write a list of 10-15 questions, arrange a time to ask them and record the interview?

Now, before you counter with all the reasons why it will not work, let me cover the big ones:

What kind of topics make for good interviews? Anything that someone would be interested in and pay money for. Do you know someone who is a whiz at marketing? Someone who is good at explaining taxes? Someone who knows how to put on a great wedding while saving money? Someone who knows how to shoot spectacular pictures? The list is endless!

Why would an expert agree to be interviewed? If they are market savvy, they understand the power of having a third party interview them…especially if that third party has a list of regular readers (you are building your list, aren’t you?). You can reach people that have never heard of them and perhaps send customers their way.

If they aren’t market savvy, perhaps you can convince them that this is a great way to get their name out there. You can even suggest splitting the profits from the sale of the CD’s with them. After you account for the costs of the blank CD, CD label, case, case insert and shipping; you can then split the profit with your interviewee. Or you can sell your CD’s at wholesale to them and they can put them on their own website (actually, this is a simpler way to do it).

I don’t know a lot about his field. You don’t have to. That is why you are the “reporter” and not the expert. All you have to do is guide the interview by asking questions that you or others like you would have. It really helps to send the questions to your interviewee ahead of time so that they are not caught off-guard and know where the interview is going. Also, you want to make sure that you ask about any products he is selling and give his website a few times. Ask if there are any questions that are off-topic. He may not want to reveal who his wholesalers are or how much mark-up he has in his products. Those are a few good presentation tips I share with my students.

Does he groan and moan about doing the job? Is he grudging in what he tells you? Or is he open and serious, understanding what you are asking and why?

Does he seem to have trouble remembering his own history, what her name was, what order the different relationships came in? Is he reluctant to divulge, or does he sound like he is fudging?

Does he seem to be moving you fast towards a romantic getaway? Maybe he makes plans for the two of you to meet, and reserves only one room. Is he heavily sexually suggestive and titillating? Does he ask questions like “What kind of lingerie are you wearing?”

Even though a new and legitimate relationship can be highly sexually charged, a guy who is seriously interested in you and a possible future with you will be protective and understanding of you and your feelings.

If you feel antsy, pay attention. If your hormones may be doing your thinking, put on the brakes. Better to let this dangerous Clark Gable type swim away than to be left flat and busted.

I finally GOT IT one day after I figured out how to market my business and have FUN at the same time. Here is an example from one part of my business. See if this rings true for you.

After creating my first exciting marketing program new ideas began springing up. I told a friend, I wanted to create additional “fun” programs but kept getting stuck. She said, “You like brainstorming, its part of everything you do, create a single program around that.” So I did. You begin like this. Simply start writing down those experiences or environments that bring warmth, giggles or excitement to your heart from childhood to now. Think back to what you really enjoyed as a kid. Maybe it was books, a love for animals, or those magnificent salt-water fish in your aquarium. What puts that smile on your face when you think of something you have enjoyed from your past or in the present? How exciting would it be to combine that special environment with a program you created?

Here are a few examples.

-Things I enjoyed as a kid: boating, riding the train to my grandparents

-Things I enjoy now: hot tea in the afternoon, high tea, and a cabin in the woods

- One of my programs is now integrating all of these things with separate events.

- One event will take to the rails on a train similar to the one I rode to my grandparent’s house when I was a child. It will also be in my favorite time of year. I’m so excited I can barely stay focused on my daily routine and my energy feels like a giddy kid. Another event will combine with an afternoon tea.

6. They involve competition and pressure (which drills don’t) and better prepare players to perform under pressure in “match” conditions and at “game speed”. It is one thing to perform an activity without pressure, but it is very different to perform the same activity at “game speed” and under pressure. Players improve more quickly and become better players when they practice at game-speed in match-related conditions. The best way to achieve this is by playing games that are match-related and involve competition and pressure. SoccerHelp Practice Games also teach players to hustle, win the ball, play aggressively, they get a good work-out and have more fun.

7. Set-up is quick and easy.

8. They work for almost any number of players and even or odd numbers (e.g., if only 5, 6 or 7 show up they will still work).

I heard a speaker recently who was talking about how to maintain strong relationships. As I listened to his basic principle, I realized that it is true in all of our life situations, be it work, family etc. And let’s face it, relationships are what make Kontaktanzeigen Niedersachsen world go ’round. So strong healthy relationships will make your work more enjoyable, and prosperous, and will make your family and friend relationships better as well.

What was the principle? The speaker said that each point of connection is like an anchor in the relationship, and the more connections you have, the stronger the relationship will be. He calls one-connection relationships “Simplex,” and multi-connection relationships, “Multiplex.” The strongest relationships are multiplex.

There is also the idea that some connections are stronger than others and so you want as many connections as possible and you want those connections to be as strong as they can be as well. Confused? Let’s put some legs on this. We’ll take a business situation and we’ll take a family situation to illustrate the principle.

Anchoring work relationships. Let’s say you sell insurance. A guy walks in and says, “I would like to purchase some term life insurance.” You have a simplex relationship. The connection is that you both want him to have insurance. As you get to know him better and get information from him, you realize that you have a multiplex relationship growing and the chance that your business relationship will grow is improving.

“You grew up in Iowa? Me too!”

“You like to golf? Me too!”

“Your wife and you like to go to the opera? So do we! We should go together sometime.”

The multiple connections are anchoring your relationship.

Anchoring a family relationship. Let’s take a marriage in trouble. Chances are that at one time, the relationship was multiplex. Because of time, work, and other stresses, the marriage has deteriorated to the point where both are thinking, “What did I marry this person for?” Or “Why do I stay?” The chances are that now the relationship is simplex. Maybe it is that the one connection is that they want to do right by the kids and so they “Tough it out.” What is the answer? I believe that it is regaining a multiplex relationship. Work hard to make those other anchoring connections. Did you used to play tennis together before the kids came along? Go play tennis together on a regular basis. Do you both have a common interest in a specific cause or charity, but time hasn’t allowed you to pursue it? Take the time! It will anchor your relationship again!

I think you get the point. Take some time to think about your current relationships. Are they as multiplex as they can be or as they used to be? Think about the new relationships you will make in the coming weeks or months. Think of ways you can make them strong by finding multiple connections, securing deeper and more fulfilling relationships.

Make your relationships “multiplex” and you make them strong, with an anchor that will not let them go!

You would be thinking of a quantum computer. Relatively few and simple concepts from quantum mechanics are needed to make quantum computers a possibility. The subtlety has been in learning to manipulate these concepts. Is such a computer an inevitability or will it be too difficult to build?

By the strange laws of quantum mechanics, Folger, a senior editor at Discover, notes that; an electron, proton, or other subatomic particle is “in more than one place at a time,” because individual particles behave like waves, these different places are different states that an atom can exist in simultaneously.

What’s the big deal about quantum computing? Imagine you were in a large office building and you had to retrieve a briefcase left on a desk picked at random in one of hundreds of offices. In the same way that you would have to walk through the building, opening doors one at a time to find the briefcase, an ordinary computer has to make it way through long strings of 1’s and 0’s until it arrives at the answer. But what if instead of having to search by yourself, you could instantly create as many copies of yourself as there were rooms in the building all the copies could simultaneously peek in all the offices, and the one that finds the briefcase becomes the real you, the rest just disappear. — (David Freeman, discover )

David Deutsch, a physicist at Oxford University, argued that it Seitensprung Berlin be possible to build an extremely powerful computer based on this peculiar reality. In 1994, Peter Shor, a mathematician at AT&T Bell Laboratories in New Jersey, proved that, in theory at least, a full-blown quantum computer could factor even the largest numbers in seconds; an accomplishment impossible for even the fastest conventional computer. An outbreak of theories and discussions of the possibility of building a quantum computer now permeates itself though out the quantum fields of technology and research.

It’s roots can be traced back to 1981, when Richard Feynman noted that physicists always seem to run into computational problems when they try to simulate a system in which quantum mechanics would take place. The calculations involving the behavior of atoms, electrons, or photons, require an immense amount of time on today’s computers. In 1985 in Oxford England the first description of how a quantum computer might work surfaced with David Deutsch’s theories. The new device would not only be able to surpass today’s computers in speed, but also could perform some logical operations that conventional ones couldn’t.

This research began looking into actually constructing a device and with the go ahead and additional funding of AT&T Bell Laboratories in Murray Hill, New Jersey a new member of the team was added. Peter Shor made the discovery that quantum computation can greatly speed factoring of whole numbers. It’s more than just a step in micro-computing technology, it could offer insights into real world applications such as cryptography.

“There is a hope at the end of the tunnel that quantum computers may one day become a reality,” says Gilles Brassard of University of Montreal. Quantum Mechanics give an unexpected clarity in the description of the behavior of atoms, electrons, and photons on the microscopic levels. Although this information isn’t applicable in everyday household uses it does certainly apply to every interaction of matter that we can see, the real benefits of this knowledge are just beginning to show themselves.

In our computers, circuit boards are designed so that a 1 or a 0 is represented by differing amounts of electricity, the outcome of one possibility has no effect on the other. However, a problem arises when quantum theories are introduced, the outcomes come from a single piece of hardware existing in two separate realities and these realties overlap one another affecting both outcomes at once. These problems can become one of the greatest strengths of the new computer however, if it is possible to program the outcomes in such a way so that undesirable effects cancel themselves out while the positive ones reinforce each other.

This quantum system must be able to program the equation into it, verify it’s computation, and extract the results. Several possible systems have been looked at by researchers, one of which involves using electrons, atoms, or ions trapped inside of magnetic fields, intersecting lasers would then be used to excite the confined particles to the right wavelength and a second time to restore the particles to their ground state. A sequence of pulses could be used to array the particles into a pattern usable in our system of equations.

Another possibility by Seth Lloyd of MIT proposed using organic-metallic polymers (one dimensional molecules made of repeating atoms). The energy states of a given atom would be determined by it’s interaction with neighboring atoms in the chain. Laser pulses could be used to send signals down the polymer chain and the two ends would create two unique energy states.

A third proposal was to replace the organic molecules with crystals in which information would be stored in the crystals in specific frequencies that could be processed with additional pulses. The atomic nuclei, spinning in either of two states (clockwise or counterclockwise) could be programmed with a tip of a atomic microscope, either “reading” it’s surface or altering it, which of course would be “writing” part of information storage. “Repetitive motions of the tip, you could eventually write out any desired logic circuit, ” DiVincenzo said.

This power comes at a price however, in that these states would have to remain completely isolated from everything, including a stray photon. These outside influences would accumulate, causing the system to wander off track and it could even turn around and end up going backward causing frequent mistakes. To keep this from forming new theories have arisen to overcome this. One way is to keep the computations relatively short to reduce chances of error, another would be to restore redundant copies of the info on separate machines and take the average (mode) of the answers.

This would undoubtedly give up any advantages to the quantum computer, and so AT&T Bell Laboratories have invented an error correction method in which the quantum bit of data would be encoded in one of nine quantum bits. If one of the nine were lost it would then be possible to recover the data from what information did get through. This would be the protected position that the quantum state would enter before being transmitted. Also since the states of the atoms exist in two states, if one were to be corrupted the state of the atom could be determined simply by observing the opposite end of the atom since each side contains the exact opposite polarity.

The gates that would transmit the information is what is mainly focused on by researchers today, this single quantum logic gate and it’s arrangement of components to perform a particular operation. One such gate could control the switch from a 1 to a 0 and back, while another could take two bits and make the result 0 if both are the same, 1 if different.

These gates would be rows of ions held in a magnetic trap or single atoms passing through microwave cavities. This single gate could be constructed within the next year or two yet a logical computer must have the millions of gates to become practical. Tycho Sleator of NYU and Harald Weinfurter of UIA look at the quantum logic gates as simple steps towards making a quantum logic network.

These networks would be but rows of gates interacting with each other. Laser beams shining on ions cause a transition from one quantum state to another which can alter the type of collective motion possible in the array and so a specific frequencies of light could be used to control the interactions between the ions. One name given to these arrays has been named “quantum-dot arrays” in that the individual electrons would be confined to the quantum-dot structures, encoding information to perform mathematical operations from simple addition to the factoring of those whole numbers.

The “quantum-dot” structures would be built upon advances in the making of microscopic semiconductor boxes, whose walls keep the electrons confined to the small region of material, another way to control the way information is processed. Craig Lent, the main researcher of the project, base this on a unit consisting of five quantum dots, one in the center and four and at the ends of a square, electrons would be tunneled between any of the two sites.

Stringing these together would create the logic circuits that the new quantum computer would require. The distance would be sufficient to create “binary wires” made of rows of these units, flipping the state at one end causing a chain reaction to flip all the units states down along the wire, much like today’s dominoes transmit inertia. Speculation on the impact of such technology has been debated and dreamed about for years.

In the arguing points, the point that it’s potential harm could be that the computational speed would be able to thwart any attempts at security, especially the now NSA’s data encryption standard would be useless as the algorithm would be a trivial problem to such a machine. On the latter part, this dreamed reality first appeared in the TV show Quantum Leap, where this technology becomes readily apparent when Ziggy –the parallel hybrid computer that he has designed and programmed– is mentioned, the capabilities of a quantum computer mirror that of the show’s hybrid computer.

Janet, a group manager, complained to her human resources consultant, Larry, that her group does not function as a team. Janet’s team did not help each other out, didn’t care about one another, and didn’t want to share information with each other. These were just a few of problems she was having. If done wrong, people will feel their time is wasted which makes you look like a bad leader.

Have a clear purpose for the offsite - Define some clear business reason for having the offsite. An offsite conference is useless if members of the team have to constantly check their email or answer phone calls. While no time is ever perfect for an offsite, you don’t want to hold it when your team is distracted or exhausted.

Some of the best offsites I’ve held were overnight events. It gave it a more fun-filled atmosphere because the team ate dinner together, had some drinks… it made the whole thing feel so much more relaxed. Further, we’d always stay up late brainstorming new , out-of-the-box strategies and working through major business problems. These sessions would prove to be invaluable because the team members put their heads together to address problems and opportunities. Everyone really worked together as a team and, more importantly, the team members built real relationships with each by getting to know each other better. They got to know how the others think and act, which laid the foundation for building a strong team.

In my experience with offsites, one of the things that frustrates me the most is that the great ideas which came from the offsite are never implemented, since there was never any follow-up. We’ll need to take action with a follow-up plan to keep the excitement going. This includes dates, tasks and owners to ensure that the ideas we brainstorm will actually get implemented. We have to create and use a follow-up plan so that the team doesn’t perceive the whole offsite as a waste of their time.

The city of Longview, Texas, is a Located off Interstate 20, a little over a hundred miles east of Dallas. It’s a town of about 70,000 people, and lately a lot of them have been talking about what is going on at a local business called Don’s Fly Thru Beer Barn.

You see, Don had a problem. His business requires folks to sit in their car and drive through a long garage-like building where customers can buy beer without getting out of their car. But when traffic got backed up a bit, people were getting impatient and driving off - and not buying any of Don’s beer.

Don must have sat down and thought about what he learned at Disney World. Now those folks have a system. If you’ve been there you know that stagnant lines for rides and other attractions are made more bearable by TV monitors with things to watch, and even sketch artists and other acts that distract the people in crowds while they are in line. Disney rule: if you provide entertainment for people in Amateursex they aren’t quite as ornery about the time it is taking.

So Don put in a hot tub. A real nice one, by the look of the pictures. Then he stuck some girls in the tub so now the folks waiting in line would have somebody to talk to. Or at least look at, if they were shy about that type of thing.

Now this is strictly a G-rated hot tub, there are no naked women, just very attractive ladies in bathing suits, straw hats, and big, friendly pornocam The ladies are known as “Don’s Darlings”, and they are causing quite a stir around town, as well as improving Don’s business. He says the hot tub gimmick is making him a lot of money.

A local TV station even ran a video feature on the Fly Thru Beer Barn, and of course the local paper is happy to provide some pictures.

Don Talley is the very creative owner of the Beer Barn. He says that most of the women are single moms, and he’s helping them out by offering them honest work. A local newspaper ad said he was offering health benefits and even cosmetic surgery. They work for eight hours a day, and Don seems to have no problem finding women who are willing to staff the tub. And no wonder - how many jobs can you find where you get paid to sit all day in a hot tub in the sun, working on your tan and and flirting with men?

As it turns out, sex does sell — or at least it keeps male customers around long enough to buy some beer. But this is not a hot party tub, nobody is nude, and most folks in the area consider it pretty harmless. You’d probably see more skin at a swimming pool.

Ever the entrepreneur, Don says that sometimes his female Fly Thru Beer Barn customers will also get a treat — once a week he’ll give the women a day off and staff the tub with hunky men.

Now, let’s make conversation with her. When an assertive chick wants your attention she will become loud and start laughing at even the weakest of your jokes; quieter girls may stammer or stutter when trying to speak to you.

With the words starting to flow, she will look for excuses to touch your hand or your arm. Making physical contact with you is a sure sign of her interest.

If your crush is on a girl you know or work with, you may believe this complicates matters. Nobody wants to be rejected by someone they have to see or speak to on a daily basis. In fact, fancying someone you’re friendly with puts you in a great position; you will already have proven to her that you’re a good guy, and your close contact gives you plenty of opportunities to figure out if she’s interested in you.

Does she ever text or email you just to say hello? If you initiate contact, are her responses fast and chatty? Girls love to flirt via messaging, so always give a prompt and positive reply.

When chicks are into you, they will do almost anything to get your attention. If she’s making jokes at your expense, she really wants you to notice her. Alternatively, if a normally shy or well mannered girl starts making loud or cocky sexual references she is trying to turn you on.

Arrange a group gathering. Invite your mutual friends or workmates to a bar and try to gauge how eager she is to join you. A girl who cancels her plans to be around you is keen to know you better, while one who seems genuinely regretful about missing out would love to get you alone.
