Like the Boy Scout’s ma to Be Prepared It will increase the odds that you may prevent something from happening to {You and Your’s}.

The first thing to think about is there are many situations that may occur and to be aware of them. That way you may not have to experience a Bad Seen to learn from it. The best way to learn is from other people’s experiences’s.

Be proactive buy doing something, anything, that will give you some peace of mind. The key is not to become a victim.

Three things you can do.

* Be Aware

* Prepare

*Learn from others

(Like Classes, Books, Video’s and the Internet)

Remember when you were young and encountered your first bully , at first you were afraid, that is the first element. Fear and it worked for the bully, fear of being physically harmed.

And then your parent may have notified authority’s or maybe you learned how to fight back. Mostly by ignoring them mentally or maybe taking a boxing class or a self-defense class like I did my self way back when.

Don’t wait for the experience. Be Aware .

Now that we are all adults we need to be ready, Prepare Things are much more serious these days, we all have families and business’s to consider.

Not to mention TERROR .

We all can learn from others, like your local crime prevention organizations, your local police, there are free self-defense classes in almost all communities so you don’t have to spend a whole lot of money to Prepare for the worst.

Get involved with Community Crime Prevention organizations.

We are all neighbors.

Check your local resources, the libraries are a great source, of course there is always the Internet..

What are you going to do?

Don’t be a victim!

* BE AWARE

* PREPARE

* LEARN FROM OTHERS

MOST OF ALL BE SAFE!!!

THANK YOU!!

Wedding Insurance - Say I Do

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

Many brides ask whether or not they should purchase wedding insurance. In my opinion the answer should be an unequivocal Yes. According to TheWeddingReport.com the average cost of a wedding today is more than $26,000. That’s more than some people pay for a car, and you wouldn’t think of not insuring your brand new car, would you? It just makes sense, then, to purchase a wedding insurance policy that will cover many of your wedding costs if you need to postpone or cancel the ceremony and reception. This type of wedding insurance is crucial especially if your cost of rescheduling the wedding will be very high.

Many couples overlook wedding insurance when planning a wedding because they don’t believe they will need it. After all, there is nothing romantic or exciting about wedding insurance and what could possibly go wrong. If you were to ask couples who had their wedding and reception planned in New Orleans before Hurricane Katrina hit, what advice do you think they would give you. Now a hurricane is an extreme weather condition, but wedding insurance provides coverage for just such a weather event. Wedding insurance, however, will not cover postponement of your wedding due to a rainy day.

Once you’ve selected your vendors and submitted your deposits, you have made a serious investment. Wedding insurance protects your investment throughtout the planning process, and the event itself. Consider these events that are covered in your wedding insurance policy.

*the caterer or your reception venue closes down unexpectedly before your wedding
*your wedding photographs are damaged or lost
*a family or wedding party member is injured or becomes ill or dies
*lost or stolen wedding rings*
*your wedding attire (if your dress is damaged or fails to arrive)

Sorry kids, you’re out of luck if either of you gets cold feet. Changing your mind at the last minute is not covered by wedding insurance.

Just like any other type of insurance, you can purchase wedding insurance in a number of different policies. When compared to the cost of the event itself, wedding insurance is relatively inexpensive and as important to your special day as your bridal gown, cake and flowers. Whether you are having a destination wedding or a large wedding in your home town it is a good idea to purchase insurance for your wedding and a small price to pay for peace of mind.

Bad Credit Used Car Loans-Adverse Credentials No Hurdle in Owning Car

Wednesday, July 30th, 2008

To buy a new car is often not that easy for every aspiring person because of financial constraints. He therefore settles for a used car but here also he faces one big hurdle as he is labeled bad credit in the loan market, making lenders suspicious in offering loan. Bad credit used car loans can take care of all the worries of such borrowers. The loan can be utilized in buying any type of used car.

Borrowers of Bad credit used car loans need not to worry about their bad credit at all. Lenders do not take pains in doing extensive credit checks while such people intend to buy used cars. This is mainly owing to the fact that any car loan including used car loan is essentially a secured loan. Lender either asks the borrower for giving any property to secure the loan or he can ask for deal papers of used car. The deal papers are returned to the car owner when the loan is finally paid off. Meanwhile the owner can have and enjoy the car.

However despite the security, there are risks present in the loan offer for a lender. If the borrower fails to repay the loan, lender may not get back the entire loaned amount by selling used car, the price of which may have gone down sharply. To cover the risks, lenders charge higher interest rate on bad credit used car loans. But a loan seeker can take the loan at comparatively lower interest rate if he comparers different loan packages as each lender has own rate of interest on the loan.

When the lender approves you the loan, this allows you to buy used car. Take some precautions while buying the car. Used car may have mechanical defects. Repair those defects your self or in case you are not in a position to pay for repairs, better buy a used car with a warranty. There are many buy-here-pay-here car lots. Skip them as they generally have low quality used cars and they will not report the car deal to credit rating agency. Therefore this car deal will not be recorded in your credit report, depriving you an opportunity for improving credit score.

Numbers of lenders have displayed bad credit used car loans on their websites. Search these sites so to get an insight of the loan market and the prevailing interest rate or terms-conditions. Compare interest rates before settling for a lender. Apply to the lender on a online simple format giving required details. Lender will soon convey the loan worthiness and approval in no time after verifying the information about you.

Make sure to pay off the loan installments in time as this will improve credit score and help in avoiding debts. The loan gives you easy access to used car so get the best of opportunity.

Website Basics-Dot ORG, NET,BIZ, etc….

Wednesday, July 30th, 2008

There is a school of thought that the dot com domain name is the Gold Standard, the only type of domain name extension (or TLD) worth owning. Indeed there is some merit to this. As the original type of domain name since the internet’s inception, far more dot coms have been bought up versus all other extensions (as of August 2006, over 50 million dot coms were registered versus 6 million dot nets and 4 million dot orgs, for example). Be that as it may, there is still good reason to consider other domain name extensions besides, or possibly in addition to, the dot com extension.

First, consider the fact that with so many dot coms already spoken for, it is far more likely that you will be able to find the name you want as a dot net, org, biz, or info. And although it is arguable that in the minds of most net surfers dot com is king, the walls are coming down in that respect also. In fact, when was the last time you searched for something through Google or Yahoo, and upon finding the results and clicking to go to a website, did you really pay attention to the extension of the domain name? Most people don’t surf the web by typing in memorized domain names.

Dot net is generally the second choice after dot com for most buyers of domain names. But that is changing as well. Dot org, originally the extension for non-profit and government websites, is now available for all, even commercial sites. And it gives off a more social, more community oriented connotation. Dot biz, while open to all, actually gives a professional sound to a domain name, leaving little doubt that commercial interests are involved. Dot info, again open to all comers, gives the impression that the user will find waiting for them a site rich with content and pertinent information.

Many savvy web builders these days will lock down not only a dot com domain name, but every other available extension along with it as well. When you purchase mygreatgizmo.com, and then also buy the same domain name with the dot net, info, biz, org, etc., you are performing a preemptive strike against the competition, a hedge against someone capitalizing on your good domain name in the future. And you are able to point as many domain names to a single website as you wish.

The bottom line here is that there is good reason to consider other extensions in addition to dot com. With the vast majority of web surfers using search engines to find websites, coupled with the fact that dot net dot org dot info dot biz extensions are more and more recognized and accepted, going forward there is no reason to limit yourself to only dot com domain names.

A couple of final thoughts: consider country specific domain names if doing business only in your home country. Dot US for the United States, dot EU for Europe, dot CA for Canada, dot UK for United Kingdom (dot co uk is most popular) as well as the New Zealand nz domain name. And coming on strong in the last year is dot MOBI domain names, the only domain name for mobile devices. The land rush is on for this extension, and dot MOBI domain names will be discussed in a future article.

Easy Distance Off The Tee

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

How can I generate more distance off the tee? Recreational players, it seems, are always looking for golf tips on how to generate more distance off the tee. While proper technique is the true secret to generating distance off the tee, other isolated factors also affect distance. Taking advantage of these factors, as I urge players who take my golf lessons, is an easy way to get more distance without swinging harder or faster.

Loft is one of those isolated factors. Unfortunately, some players who take my golf lessons or read my golf tips don’t truly understand the significance of loft. Some players also have a psychological barrier against loft, which is natural given what happens on the course when you hit a tee shot.

Conventional Wisdom versus Reality

Reality in golf is always what it seems. Conventional wisdom suggests that higher-lofted drivers produce shots that fly high and stop dead when they land. Lower-lofted drivers produce shots that fly low but run more when they land, generating more distance off the tee. That theory makes sense, or so it would seem.

The key to maximizing power at any swing speed, however, is launching the ball on the proper trajectory with the right amount of spin to take advantage of the golf ball’s aerodynamic properties. That launch angle is generally 10 to 15 degrees of loft (slower swingers can get more distance with a higher loft angle). Ideal spin varies, but it’s about 2000 to 3000 revolutions per minute, again a little higher with slower swing speeds.

Loft, it would seem, is a key factor when hitting a driver. In fact, adding loft is the single most important thing I’ve found in my years of providing golf instruction that helps people hit their drivers better. For some golfers adding loft to their drivers-without making any other adjustments-generates an average of at least 10 yards to their drives. For others, it generates even more.

Determining the Right Loft

So how do you determine what loft is right for you? Pick a driver that gives you as high a trajectory as you can get without sacrificing accuracy. When you feel you’re uncomfortably high, take the loft one step down to see if you still are consistently long most of the time. When in doubt, take more loft rather than less.

Once you’ve determined the right loft, try the following tips for generating more distance of the tee. They’ll help you hit the ball farther without changing your swing speed or adding more muscle power.

1. Widen stance at address for greater stability
2. Shift more weight on right side (for a right-hander)
3. Turn our your left foot slightly
4. Take a full 90-degree turn.
5. Hover club head above ground
6. Hit hard with right hand through impact
7. Sense right forearm crossing over left
8. Finish high with your swing

Some of these tips focus on changes in your address position. Hovering the club head above the ground is a technique both Greg Norman and Jack Nicklaus use. It takes a little practice to learn how to do it, but it produces dividends when executed correctly. And finishing correctly is a must on every swing. When combined with the right loft, these tips will add more distance to your drives.

Two Drills for Generating More Distance

Two proven drills for increasing driving distance are the lead hand drill and the weighted-club drill. I often suggest them to players who take my golf lessons or in written golf tips in my newsletter.

1. The lead hand drill strengthens the “pulling” muscles of your left arm. (Right fore- arm for left-handers.) With this drill, practice hitting a golf ball with just your left hand. Start with a pitching wedge. Try it without a ball first. Swing easily. When you’re ready, tee the ball up and swing away. Take about 25 swings. When you can hit the ball off the tee consistently, drop down to an 8 iron. Repeat the process.

2. The weighted-club drill stretches the back muscles, leading to a fuller turn. Use a heavyweight practice club, a practice “donut,” or a weighted cover for your club. Take about 50 practice swings a day. Swing easily and smoothly. After a month or two, you will find the arc of your swing is larger than before, without losing control of the swing.

Adding more loft to your driver won’t make you a Jack Nicklaus or Greg Norman over night; but it will improve your game without involving hours and hours of practice. More importantly, adding loft will help you hit the kinds of drives that can help lower your golf handicap.

Jack Moorehouse is the author of the best-selling book ” www.howtobreak80.com http://www.howtobreak80.com .” He is NOT a golf pro, rather a working man that has helped thousands of golfers from all seven continents lower their handicap immediately.

Affiliate Project X - Some Old Story, or Marketing Revolution?

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

Anyone who has spent any time surfing the Web to find money-making opportunities has probably encountered affiliate marketing at one time or another. The concept is a simple one - someone writes an informational product, known as an ebook, and decides to sell it via the Internet. They make the product available through a network of resellers, known as affiliates. Those affiliates advertise the product for the publisher in exchange for a portion of the sale when a customer buys the product.

There are not only thousands of informational products on the market, but there are also hundreds of informational products on the market that are designed to help you make money through affiliate sales. The latest, and according to some, the greatest, goes by the mysterious name of Affiliate Project X. This product is said to be the final word in affiliate marketing techniques. Is that true, or is that just more hype from an industry that specializes in hype?

The answer is a definite maybe. If you are looking for a magic solution that will dump wheelbarrows full of cash into your lap on a daily basis with no effort (and who isn’t? ) then this product may not be for you. On the other hand, if you are clever, have a bit of spare time, and can follow well-written instructions, then the answer may well be an emphatic yes!

Affiliate Project X is clearly written and fairly concise at fifty pages in length. The book offers methods for marketing products that are available through Clickbank, a large publisher of ebooks and informational products. The methods have clever names such as the Thief in the Night and The Opportunist. The names may be clever, but the techniques are sound. And unlike many other such products, which seem to exist only to get you to buy additional products from the author, Affiliate Project X makes no attempt to put on the hard sell for other products. In fact, many of the techniques described in Affiliate Project X can be implemented at no cost whatsoever!

Not only can these techniques be applied at little or not cost, but some of them can be put to work in as little as 24 hours! All you need to do is read the book, give a bit of thought as to how to put the ideas to use, and get after it. Some affiliates have actually earned money in only two days’ time.

Is Affiliate Project X the final word in affiliate marketing? If you have the ability to put good ideas to work and not sit around waiting for money to fall in your lap, then yes, it just may be.

Choosing The Best Dry Dog Food

Monday, July 28th, 2008

Sometimes, the best dry dog food is the one that your dog will eat the most. It is easier to buy something that your canine will eat as opposed to having them eat dog food that may be better for them, but one that they may not necessarily like. However, there are a few things you need to consider when you walk down the pet food aisles at your local retailer.

Consider the price of the dry dog food. Often, dry dog food that are cheap or are not branded are made with ingredients like fillers and seasonings that are not necessarily good for dogs. These ingredient may be tasty, but they can be harmful to your dog. These dry dog food often have too much preservatives, which can cause your dog to develop health problems that may eventually cause them to suffer later on in life.

To increase the vitality and life expectancy of your dog, go with good quality dry dog food. You don’t really need to purchase the most expensive dry dog food there is, but it is best if you stick with dry dog food that is manufactured by a reputable dog food company and is priced reasonably.

The main ingredient in the best dry dog food is rice, corn or soybean. High quality dry dog food will also have other ingredients such as beef and chicken. Stores also sell dry dog food formulated specifically to a dog’s age. Manufacturers classify the different types of dry dog food as being for puppies, adult dogs and senior dogs. Purchasing the dry dog food that’s most suitable for your dog’s age is always important.

If you want to know what are the best dry dog foods, ask your veterinarian. Veterinarians would often recommend the branded dry dog foods. These brands are more expensive, but if you have an older dog, it may be to your advantage to pay a little more for the best dry dog food.

You will know if you’ve picked the best dry dog food by the way your dog looks and feels. When you take your dog for yearly shots, his coat should be healthy, his eyes should be clear and he should be full of energy. If your pet doesn’t look well and seems lethargic, there could be something wrong with his diet. It is always wise to keep notes about what your dog is eating on a daily basis. This way, a veterinarian can diagnose your dog more quickly and recommend the best dry dog food for your pet.

German Vacation Destinations - Hamburg

Monday, July 28th, 2008

Hamburg is Germany’s second largest city and remains to be one of the country’s most prized metropolitan areas for the economic importance of its ports. Hamburg is located on the river Elbe in the northern German state of Schleswig-Holstein and has direct access to the Baltic Sea and the North Sea. Since the Elbe is traditionally the lifeblood of the city, many of its attractions, festivals, and much of its history revolves around the great river.

Hamburg hosts several large events annually. Hafengeburtstag celebrates the anniversary of Hamburg becoming a free port. Hafengeburtstag takes place in early May and is a large draw for Germans across the country. Alstervergügen, an international festival that takes place in August, presents fireworks displays, sailing, and watercraft events. The single largest fair in north Germany is Hamburger Dom, which takes place three times a year; from March to April, July to August, and November to December. The festival allows Germans to enjoy their fair weather with rides such as roller coasters and Ferris wheels and other attractions.

Hamburg is a popular destination for its stage productions, particularly large musicals and plays. Ballets, variety shows, cabarets, concerts, and circus-like performances are also plentiful in Hamburg, cementing the city as a strong player in the stage arts worldwide.

Hamburg Port is a large tourist attraction as well as being the economic backbone of the city. There are tours available all year long. A site that no visitor to the city will want to miss is the Elbe Tunnel, which runs underneath the river all the way across. Museums, shops, and cafés line the harbor, making it a fantastic spot to spend the day or even multiple days.

Families will enjoy Carl Hagenbeck’s Tierport; one of Europe’s most respected and respected zoos. It houses over 2,000 animals and has a variety of elephant, dolphin, and other wildlife exhibits and shows.

Visitors to Hamburg interested in more risqué affairs will possibly be drawn to the city’s red light district of St. Pauli. The city has made advances to capitalize on the notoriety of the area and it is now a viable and mostly respectable place for legitimate night life. The area is well-policed and is considered exceptionally safe. St. Pauli now boasts upscale bars, taverns, nightclubs, and restaurants in addition to the seedier offerings for which it has become famous. Reeperbahn is the name of a famous street here. The name is derived from the term “rope street,” which it was called because it used to be a major manufacturer of strong hemp rope.

Hamburg is a shopper’s paradise, with upscale malls and shopping arcades almost everywhere. Mudsberger Centre is a very popular point for shopping as well as another located Rathausmarkt and Jungferstieg. Credit cards are not always as accepted in Germany as in other countries, such as the United States, so it is probably best to plan ahead. It is little surprise that Hamburg offers shops and distributors of fine items, as it is called home by more millionaires than any other city in Germany.

Be Committed!…You’ll Never Be Famous If You Don’t Show Up!

Sunday, July 27th, 2008

Everyone wants to be famous: live in a mansion, drive a sports car, tour the world in your private plane, date a model, float around in the pool while collecting royalties for CD sales, and drink beer right out of your private tap. But not everyone is aware that, with any career that has the potential to end in a bounty of riches and beautiful babes, climbing your way to rock stardom is very hard work.

So, how does your average musical genius go from penniless Pop Tart-eater to Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous? How do you move on up from mom’s garage to a deluxe apartment in the sky? What’s your first baby step on the Yellow Brick Road to fame and fortune? That’s simple…be committed!

It sounds silly, but many a musical boat has sailed with a crestfallen unsigned artist standing confused on the dock, for lack of nothing else but follow-through. Commitment to your deeds and plans is the single most essential skill towards achieving your goal of Ultimate Superstardom. Entertainment is a fickle business and chances don’t come along every day. One missed opportunity now could have spiraled into dozens even hundreds of opportunities down the line.

It may be true that talent is a gift you carry with you from birth, but commitment is a learned skill that you need to hone every day. So, how can you make sure that you’ve got what it takes to gather up your supreme musicality and conquer the universe with it continuously?

The following are a few tips that may help you to make sure that you’re truly committing yourself to your musical career on a daily basis:

1.) Follow Up On All Leads—No matter how insignificant they may seem at the time, it’s important to follow up on every musical lead that’s thrown your way. Letters, calls and emails should be answered politely and in a timely fashion. New contacts should be logged in your address book for future correspondence. Opportunities should be taken, invites accepted, and chances to network relished. By starting out with just these simple rules you’ll watch your resources and mailing list grow. Suddenly you’ll have music community friends with which to share your leads and ideas, ask advice, trade experiences, and combine talent and energies. Through these friends, you’ll meet new friends and fans and from them even more new connections. Soon, you’ll have so many opportunities that your concern will change from lack of opportunity to lack of time in the day to pursue each new chance.

2.) Just Show Up—Sounds so simple it’s stupid, but you’d be surprised how many talented people have fallen by the wayside because they were unable to simply show up. Cancelled gigs, forgotten meetings, and missed auditions say to the Musical Powers That Be, “I’m a huge flake who doesn’t think your opportunity is worth a half-hour of my precious time.” This is a really bad thing. Entertainment is a small town with a huge memory. Don’t give people any reason to think that you’re not the person they want to work with, give the job to, book for the gig, sign to their label, write about, talk about, and help any way they can. Remember there are tens of thousands of musicians waiting to take your place, so step up to the plate and seize each chance with optimism and enthusiasm.

3.) Take Initiative—Don’t wait for opportunities to come to you. The world is a virtual cornucopia of information, so reach out and nab yourself some chances at stardom. Comb the internet, join music communities, visit open mic nights, take classes and workshops…put yourself out there where there are cool musical happenings and let others know that you can be relied upon and want to be involved. By going out and seizing your own opportunities, you may double, triple, etc. your resources and chances, and expedite your journey to success.

4.) Do The Best Job You Can—As important as it is to show up, it is also essential that you come off efficient, talented, and professional when faced with a new opportunity. Being there is half the battle but the other half is being the best that you can be and impressing industry, press, clubs and your fellow musicians enough to make them want you to be involved in anything and everything they do. Make a commitment to put on the best live show possible, to have a terrific CD, to make a professional presskit, and to spread the word about your music. Be punctual, be courteous, be positive and be fun. Don’t give anyone any reason not to work with you again and you’ll see that it becomes easier and easier to get what you want for your artistic career.

It really is as easy as simply showing up, following up and giving it your all. Making it in music is not impossible; it’s just a lot of elbow grease, a little organization, a bit of strategy, and the simple sculpting of your talent into a marketable commodity. There are thousands of chances offered every day to musicians…reach out and grab them by the handful, make every opportunity your own, get everything you want from this business and when you’re richer than Oprah and more famous than Madonna, remember that it was you who made it happen. You were a pro. You showed up. You committed.
