When you can see what I went through and feel, what I did, then maybe, just maybe, you will understand. Even then you will still only have a small glimpse of the torture that I suffered year after year!

I have made it thorough the rain and kept my world protected. I have made it through the rain and now I am respected by the others who got rained on too!

Do you understand what kind of accomplishment this is? I mean it ranks right up there with the greatest of all time. I am not tooting my own horn here, just wanted to let you know the fact that if you ever had a depression and other illnesses that I had you would realize that very few people make it back from there. I wanted to point this out because, you have a blueprint in front of you right now and if you follow it closely you can make it back too! Please know this is not a dream you can do it!

I have never left my family or given up, no matter what the circumstances! Please don’t read this wrong. If you are reading this book and have the same or all of the problems that I have been writing about, please don’t give up hope! You can make it. You will make it, and I am here to show you how to get started. I am here to lead you through the tough times.

Now let me try to explain why I would drink and inflict pain on myself. When the nails would pierce my skin, it would give such relief!

(OH, WHAT A RELIEF IT WAS.)

I mean the blood and the pain, oh, how it would give such relief, a truly magnificent feeling. I never wanted that feeling to leave me, as I had been hoping for some kind of relief for days.

You see, for a short period of time, the pain I felt from the wound would take away from the mental anguish and suffering. That moment was well worth the physical pain and the embarrassment it would cause because for that short period I was “normal.”

In addition “normal” was what I longed to be. Why would I drink when I knew that it was certainly going to make me worse than before? Here again, when I was in a drunken stupor and my mind was very numb, for the first few hours I was one of the guys again!

(GOD HEARD MY PRAYER.)

I was “normal” for those two hours before the depression set back in and that feeling and relief for that brief moment was well worth the pain it caused me, my friends, or my family, because “normal” was all I ever wanted out of life!

Therefore, you can see that the alcohol had a purpose. It brought me out of dysphoria, one of the most terrifying experiences that anyone could face, one that you would do anything to get out of, and I mean absolutely anything.

Cutting myself and driving nails through my hands and feet also served to bring me out of dysphoria-and it worked every time!

(YES, IT HURT, DAMMIT.)

An untreated borderline will continue in this manner until he gets proper help, or until he finally snaps and loses it and ends his life. Therefore, these self-defeating behaviors have a purpose and that purpose is to bring you out of the worst feeling that a person could possible have. I pray that I never experience this feeling again. I also pray that no one ever has to go through such an experience. This was my way of coping with such feelings of utter and complete despair, and my way of trying to find a way out of the madness that we call biological unhappiness mental illness.

This is a look through the eyes of me. I hope that it brings insight to anyone who has a family member or friend with a biological unhappiness disorder or other mental illness. This is a look through our eyes!

4. The next step is to prioritize the values. You could ask the person to number the values in order of importance to them, e.g. “What’s most important?” then “What’s next?”

5. Rewrite the list of values, according to importance and check with the person that it looks o.k.

The technique above is a very basic method for eliciting values. On an NLP course you will learn a more thorough method for eliciting values the person is not consciously aware of and for helping the person prioritize their values more fully. Its also very important that the person is providing you with values that have guided how they have lived their lives so far, not how they wish they lived! One way to get yourself or others thinking about this is to imagine what values others would think you operated from, based on the way you behave!

Once you have identified your values, NLP courses can teach you how to remove unwanted values. You can also begin to start to use and communicate the values you want to live your life by, just by being more aware of whether your behaviour reflects the particular value.

Take That Pebble Out Your Shoe

Recently I joined a group of business owners that gets together once a Princess Cut to help each other out. One of the members of this group, a chiropractor, told a great story last week that I want to pass on - so here it is.

Everyone has a different metabolism and some people put on weight much easier than others. You can take the third approach and go to the surgeon for gastric bypass surgery. Get them to cut out part of your stomach so that you just can’t eat much anymore. This may work for the very small number of people that are morbidly obese for genetic reasons, but not for most of us.

Or you can address the problem. Eat less and exercise more. Just take off your shoe and dump out the pebble.

I know it’s not that easy to reverse decades of habits and lifestyle choices, but this is really the only approach that directly addresses the problem without simply masking the symptoms. I know many advertisers tell you what you want to here - that you can lose weight without really trying - but they’re just playing your emotions to lighten your wallet, not your waistline.

Start small by replacing one bad habit with one good one. Don’t try to do it all at once. If you drink soda, replace one soda a day with one bottle of water, Uk Accommodation two, three or however many you drink. If you eat huge portions, start using a smaller plate at one meal, then two and three. Incorporating it naturally into your eating
practices is simple.

Integrating olive oil

The easiest way is to get into the habit of
drizzling olive oil over slices of bread or
toasts, consuming it as a dressing for sandwiches
instead of butter, and adding it to salads with
some salt.

Wherever you go in the Mediterranean, Morocco,
Provence, Tunisia, Italy, Greece, Catalonia,
Andalusia, or Majorca, you’ll find people eating
their own combination of bread and raw olive oil.

bread with tomato, almost every day: as part of
my breakfast, as a snack, or, I admit, when I am
too lazy to cook dinner. It is the Catalan
bruschetta, so to say, and you can prepare it in
no time with slices of bread or toasts, both are
fine.

Here is the most basic recipe for pa amb tomaquet.
Cut a very ripe tomato crosswise, rub the bread

liberally over the bread and sprinkle some salt.

You can eat it plain or add any topping and
accompaniment you like: prosciutto-style or
cooked ham, cheese, tuna fish, an omelet,
anchovies, figs, olives. Even with a chocolate
bar at tea or coffee time, it may sound weird,
but it is delicious.

Other recipes with raw olive oil are authentic
allioli, salads with olive oil dressing, cold
sauces like romesco, and sopa de farigola or
thyme soup. As the Catalan saying goes: Sopa

soup with no oil is junk.

Here is the recipe. In a soup pot, bring 2-quart (
2 l) water to a boil together with 2 peeled

minutes and drain. Place 1 or 2 slices of country-
style bread on the bottom of each soup bowl,
drizzle them liberally with extra virgin olive
oil and ladle the soup over it. In the spring and
summer this soup is also great with mint instead
of thyme.

Recent studies have shown that the health
benefits of the Mediterranean diet are not
derived from olive oil alone, but from the
Mediterranean diet as a whole. So, eat well and
enjoy!
