12 Hair Care Tips For Any Length and Style

Regardless of its length or style, we all want one thing: a healthy, great looking head of hair. But the first step to having healthy, luxurious hair is to know its exact type. Is it oily, dry or normal? It your hair naturally curly or straight? Are you troubled by dandruff? Has your hair been processed in some way? Is it brittle or strong? Knowing your true starting point will allow you to better care for your hair and keep it looking its absolute best.

With short hairstyles, it’s important to protect your hair and your scalp every time you are in the sun. Look for protective styling products, and be sure to wear a hat to avoid sunburn. If your hair is short and curly, you should know that curly hair tends to break easier and needs more moisture than other types of hair.

The key to keeping medium-length to long hair beautiful and healthy looking is to protect it from split ends and becoming brittle. The longer hair is, the heavier it is, and as a result, more prone to breakage. If you have long or medium-length hair, never use a rubber band to pull your hair back into a ponytail as they can pull and damage hair. Instead, use a something elastic that is covered in a soft cloth to avoid breaking the delicate hair shafts.

Here are a few simple do’s and don’ts to remember for every length and style of hair :

6 Essential Hair Care Do’s :

- Do gently brush your hair each night before going to bed as it will stimulate blood flow to your scalp and promote healthy hair growth.

- Do be sure to hold the hair dryer at least six to eight inches away from your hair and keep it moving at all times to avoid scorching the hair.

- Do gently wash your hair using a mild shampoo suitable for your type of hair with lukewarm water.

- Do use a conditioner to keep your hair manageable, healthy, and free of tangles.

- Do be sure to drink plenty of water and follow a balanced diet. Many people aren’t aware of the important role that proper nutrition plays regarding healthy hair care. Water is essential to keep your body and hair properly hydrated.

- Do try to avoid touching your hair unnecessarily as the oils from your hands can cause your hair to lose its luster and become dirtier faster.

6 Essential Hair Care Don’ts :

- Don’t brush wet hair, use a comb instead to avoid pulling and risking breakage.

- Don’t blow-dry your hair every day, the constant heat will cause it to become brittle and prone to breakage. Likewise, use your curling iron on the lowest possible setting.

- Don’t over process your hair using strong dyes and chemicals. If you do relax your hair or have it permanently waved, be sure to wait as long as possible in between treatments to avoid over processing and damage.

- Don’t change your hair color to more than three shades, in either direction, lighter or darker, to avoid excessive damage.

- Don’t wash your hair in extra hot water, instead use warm, and use cool water for the final rinse.

- Don’t allow stress to adversely affect your health, including your hair.

Persuasion as a Tool

Selling is often described in negative ways. This is because people often perceive selling’s most crucial element, that of persuading, to be an act of manipulation. This does not have to be true. In fact, when the masters of the selling game employ methods of persuasion, rather than to manipulate, it should be to provide clarity about what the buyer should do and why he or she should do it. In this way, when a deal is closed it is because the seller has mastered the art of persuasion and influence.

When making a final decision, B considers many things: is A credible, is the idea logical, will the idea bring me personal benefits and do I want to do it? A master in the selling game does not leave B’s answers to any of these questions to chance. In your quest to persuade with power, you must gain control over B’s perception of all of these factors. When you shape B’s answer to each of these questions, you exert true influence in your sales presentation.

Take the following example: Jon started a small business a few months ago and has finally managed to get an appointment to pitch his services to a potentially large prospect. He has just recently started a contract with a similar sized company and has included in his sales presentation, the stats and figures about his work with the other company. During his presentation, Jon goes into great detail of his work with the other company. He is surprised to find that this creates little interest. At the end of the presentation, his prospect is non-committal, Jon leaves without a close.

The company that Jon showcased in his presentation operates in a completely different industry from that of his prospect. Though Jon’s presentation pointed to factors that he felt clearly related to this prospect, he failed to make specific connections. When the client ended the meeting, his only thought was that this man does not know much about what we do here. Jon believed that since the connections between the two companies were “obvious” he could make a presentation based on this successful relationship and the prospect would intuitively understand.

Leaving anything for customers to intuitively understand is a dangerous gamble. After assessing the situation, they may come to the point of view that causes them to spend money with you but, if you have done nothing to influence this outcome, they may just as easily come to the opposite conclusion. When planting the seeds for interest in your product or service, be specific, illustrative, and clear about what you want your prospect to do.

Action Step: Consider the four questions below. Make sure that your presentation directly addresses these questions and gives your prospects reasons why the answer to all is “yes.”

1. Are you credible?
2. Is this logical?
3. Are there personal benefits for me?
4. Do I want to do this?

In Jon’s example, he was so sure that the connections between his current client and prospect were clear that he didn’t bother to state them. His presentation should have been peppered with information that tied the two companies together and positioned his services as invaluable to this prospect. Since he left it up to his prospect to make that connection, he left it up to chance.

Should you wish to increase your income, exceed your quota, feed your family and reach your goals, you cannot afford to leave important elements of the sale to chance. Seek to exert great influence over your prospects’ decisions. Do this by explaining clearly what you what them to do, why you think they should do it, how you know it will help them, and why it is such a good idea. When you gain the power to influence your prospects’ decisions you become a master in the selling game.

Principles On How To Find A Good Credit Card

There are different credit cards that will surely put you in deep trouble if you don’t know how to properly use them. It should specifically give a thorough financial sense to you. This matter will be easier to conquer if you will learn the important factors helpful when finding the credit card which suits your needs the best.

-Obtain a credit card having the lowest rates on interests as much as possible. Make sure that you have the capability to pay for the credit card expenses at a particular occasion where you are obliged to pay for the charges. Interest rates will not affect you significantly if you are planning to pay all the charges upon acquiring it in that same month. It is true that 0% APR does not exist because credit card companies would not make money out of that. Great deals on the percentage rates of APR could be found through different ways.

-Choose a credit card that allows a balance transfer wherein you are able to transfer the other balances under the initial APR lowest interest rates. Although these offers are only limited, in the end you will find that it will procure a lot of savings.

-Be always prompt as a customer. Pay the bill on the designated time and keep fair low balances so that you could request for a 0% APR even over a limited period of time. Most companies will find it a good deal because they don’t want to lose their business and their good clients as well.

-Search for different companies offering 0% APR in the internet. Make comparisons when shopping. Some companies offer a zero percent APR to their clients within a year upon acquiring the credit card.

-Always be aware of the terms and condition regarding 0% APR. Know what periods are exactly covered because it might shock you to find out that you already have overhead charges. Make an assessment regarding the future interest rates after the trial periods. It could be higher than what you expected and soon you will regret that it is much better if you get the credit card having no trial periods or whatever 0% APR offers. Read carefully the fine prints of the agreement.

-Most of the credit cards that are available today are featuring different reward programs. Make enough time for researching so that you will get the best reward program according to how you are going to use it.

It is either in the form of points or cash back. The cash back reward program enables you to get a particular percentage from all the qualified purchase back, which is usually credited to your account.

The point reward program enables you to obtain points with every purchase you make using the credit card. Then a product could be redeemed using those points from a particular store, or sometimes to several designated redemption stores, or others could even have airline tickets. However make sure that the redemption will benefit you according to your needs.

-The credit card should possess a credit limit that is enough to satisfy your needs. The factors that should be considered include financing fees, annual fees, introductory offers, credit requirements, availability of online banking, and others. A lot of websites are great help when doing a research.

You will never go astray if you follow these guiding principles on finding the best credit card. Make a wise decision today.

A Review of the Wine of the Month Club

I, with my husband enrolled to a wine of the month club, thanks to the couple that chose to stay with us on a weekend who extended the invitation to join the club. I think it as a wonderful gift of courtesy. Ever since joining the club, we receive two bottles of wine every month. My husband doesn’t care about wine and he asks me what to do with that much wine. I found a solution to the problem. I decided to use my membership at a club of different kind, a book club to make the most of the sample wine bottle I would receive from the wine club.

I met the members of the book club at a meeting and told them about the wine I get from the ‘wine of the month’ club. Till then it is not a problem finishing off the wine. We picked a book on wine making, wine testing, wine sampling and stories of people related to wine making and serving industry. We are book club members, you see. The next meeting of the book club was planned at my home. By the time the meeting materialized, I had some unique bottles of wine. We discussed the book (really!) while sampling the wine. It was a nice thing to see wine of the month club was mentioned in the book. Now tell me what should I call the meeting - wine of the month meeting or book club meeting?

I agree it was the loudest book club meeting we ever had. Different sampling wine glasses were emptied at regular intervals. It was great fun for everyone. Was it wine of the month club that added fun and value to our book club meeting or is it the other way round? It doesn’t matter till we have something for our intellect and for our tongue as well.

The membership fee to the wine of the month club is quite reasonable and most of the book club members joined the club as a group. It is nice that the hostess always something unique for the guests, even in the form of wines. Some of the wines are great tasting while I don’t really like all of them. It doesn’t matter - there will always be takers for the tastes that I personally dislike. It is only natural for us to note which wines perform well on our tongues and which one doesn’t. We will be purchasing the ones that raised some prolific cheers.

What Is Acne?

Acne is a common skin disease which affects the various skin parts such as face, neck, shoulders, chest and back. Acne is a relatively less serious health problem but obviously, a nightmare for beauty conscious people. Acne vulgaris is the most common type of acne.

Acne is manifested because of the clogging or blockage in the pores of the sebaceous glands which are the oil secreting natural body moistures. The blockage of the follicles will lead to accumulation of sebum in the portion called the comedon. Propionicum acne, the bacteria, will get attracted to the site and cause inflammation by destroying the white blood cells. Non inflammatory acne also occurs. According to the difference in the clogging location, acne is classified into different sub types such as pimples, white heads, black heads, cysts and manula. It can occur in any age, but is more frequent in teenagers. On rare occasions, the outbreak of acne will grow and lead to moderate and severe type of acne. One of the most drastic consequences is its effects in the emotional well being of patients. Many patients have lost their confidence to go out in public and the result has been difficulties in relationships. The chance for permanent scaring is another potential harm.

Causes

Exact causes are not identified for acne, however, genetics, and hormonal changes are attributed to be the main reasons. Diet, age, pollution, and personal hygiene are also suspected as reasons.

Symptoms

The facial eruptions are the primary symptoms of acne. Certain types will form pus inside the inflammation and some will be slightly hard. Most of them will be tolerable; however, some will cause irritation, pain, tenderness, and itching.

Diagnosis

In most of the acne cases clinical diagnosis will not be essential. Physicians can easily diagnosis acne from external symptoms. In case of severe acne, an endocrinologist may refer for hormonal tests.

Treatment

Usually acne is treated using over the counter medicines in various forms such as lotions, ointments, and pads. However, in moderate and severe cases, the assistance of a dermatologist will be necessary. Physicians used to recommend drugs primarily to reduce bacterial infection and minimize the production of sebum. The comedolytic anti clogging drugs are also popular while Benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, azelaic acid (Azelex), isotretinoin and antibiotics are some of the common drugs for treatment. Many surface therapies such as dermabrasion, laser therapies and punching of skin are also treatment measures. Alternative medicines and herbal medicines also suggest many remedies.

Prevention

Often diet and habits are blamed for acne occurrence and even though no evidence supports such arguments, it is better to have a balanced diet and good health habits to prevent it. Regular cleaning of the face and avoidance of irritant cosmetics is essential to avoid clogging.

Domain Names Become Premium Web Real Estate

The following article presents the very latest information on Domain Names. If you have a particular interest in Domain Names, then this informative article is required reading.

See how much you can learn about Domain Names when you take a little time to read a well-researched article? Don’t miss out on the rest of this great information.

Everyone should have Amy Schrier’s problem.

For six months, she resisted selling the domain name Blue.com for $200,000. Using a formula she devised to fetch the highest market value for cheap domain names, Schrier eventually convinced a private party that Blue.com was worth $500,000. Since the name was sold in March, its site now includes links to sexual material and airfare ads.

The market will really explode when people realize they are sitting on premium real estate, says Schrier, 37, an entrepreneur in New York who bought Blue.com for $65,000 in 2002.

Dan Taylor, 54, an industrial designer in Toronto, stumbled onto his domain riches. In the 1990s, he bought Realtone.com with the intent of developing online content for skin care products. As Taylor’s luck would have it, that was before ringtones became available on cell phones. When Universal Entertainment in Germany came calling for the domain name last year, Taylor sold it for an undisclosed amount.

So now you know a little bit about Domain Names. Even if you don’t know everything, you’ve done something worthwhile: you’ve expanded your knowledge.

Have you ever wondered what exactly is up with Domain Names? This informative report can give you an insight into everything you’ve ever wanted to know about Domain Names.

The information about Domain Names presented here will do one of two things: either it will reinforce what you know about Domain Names or it will teach you something new. Both are good outcomes.

Schrier and Taylor are among an estimated 1,000 to 2,000 individuals who make a living buying and selling cheap domain names, though about half prefer to remain anonymous to avoid competition, says Ron Jackson, editor and publisher of Domain Name Journal.

‘A long-term investment’ Most domainers buy and own names. They park on sites, where they develop content in the form of Web links and ads, to generate income and increase the value of their virtual real estate.

It’s a long-term investment, like owning a home, says Lawrence Fischer, vice president of business development at SmartName.com, a company that owns and manages thousands of cheap domain names, including Stockquotes.com. But if a major brokerage firm came along with a big offer, I would be willing to listen.

Plenty have been willing to pay. Sales of 5,851 cheap domain names generated $29 million in 2005, compared with the sale of 3,813 names for $15 million in 2004, market researcher Zetetic says.

Venture-capital firms, too, are betting on cheap domain names.

Like a lottery ticket

It’s like buying a lottery ticket, but the odds are better, says Ken Carey, 50, a longtime autoworker in Grand Rapids, Mich., and part-time inventor who owns 200 cheap domain name. All you gotta do is hit the right niche, and you’re well on your way to being a millionaire.

When a technology is about to take off, if you buy a domain name that pertains to it, the more generic the name, the better its value.

Sometimes, the payoff is huge.

Sometimes, it lands the owner in legal hot water.

A surge in online ads and Web viewing have made cheap domain names a serious business proposition. Online ad revenue is expected to reach $13.6 billion in the U.S. this year, up 14 percent from last year, according to Jupiter Media. Overall, 153 million people in the U.S. use the Web, up 2.5 percent from a year ago, Nielsen//NetRatings says.

Those who understand domains and what they represent, can and have done very well, says Schwartz, 52, who sold Men.com for $1.3 million in late 2003, a huge profit from the $15,000 he paid for it in 1997. He bought Property.com for $750,000 last year.

And Schrier, who sold Blue.com for more than twice what she was originally offered, may soon offer advice. She intends to market her formula for getting the most value out of cheap domain names.

There’s no doubt that the topic of Domain Names can be fascinating. If you still have unanswered questions about Domain Names, you may find what you’re looking for in the next article.

Scientists Discover Earthlike Planet; Hope The Civilization Is More Advanced

European astronomers, upon discovering an Earthlike planet outside of our own solar system, winningly named Gliese 581c, were immediately fearful that the sort of behavior that goes on here might be more widespread than previously believed and could only hope that the civilization is more advanced.

There was even some worrisome speculation about the possibility that the civilization could be at the same stage as our own and if, in fact, it might currently be playing host to such rancorous individuals as Osama Bin Laden and Imus.

Feeling that one version of such people is enough, they immediately resorted to the hope that, since the star around which the planet spins is older than the sun, any civilization there might be more advanced than our own.

Less concerned citizens began to speculate about what sort of inhabitants might reside there besides mass murderers and insult comedians. The participants covered all the important categories, such as who might be the most popular singers and actors.

Of course, the most revealing way to determine who might live there is to travel to the planet, but since it’s about 20 light years away, the means of transportation is still not available.

Whether our inability to travel there just yet is good news for the earth or for the newly discovered planet remains to be seen.

Microwave Convection Ovens: For Tasty & Nutritious Meal

Microwave ovens help cook any food with amazing speed. The convection facility in a microwave oven allows a ‘airflow’ circulation that heats up any food in less time using much less electricity.

Cooking in microwave ovens is a lot faster than conventional methods of cooking. The oven operates at much lower temperatures and reduces 20% of cooking time compared to other ovens.

With microwave cooking, nutrients are preserved and the actual taste of the food remains intact. Only a minimum quantity of oil is required to cook any dish.

Food cooked in microwave convection ovens is as nutritious as food cooked in other ways, and studies suggest that microwave ovens retains more vitamins, minerals and nutrients than boiling. Nutrients like vitamin A and E are less likely to be destroyed. This is good for health.

Microwave ovens are easy to clean and maintain. Clean the exterior part by wiping it with a damp cloth. The interior portion should be cleaned with a cloth soaked in warm soapy water.

There are some misconceptions though, about microwave ovens:

Microwave energy changes the chemical composition of food.

- But there is no evidence of poisonous or dangerous compounds created by microwave convection ovens.

Eating food cooked in the microwave exposes you to radiation.

- As soon as the oven is switched off, there are no longer any microwaves in the oven or the food. There is no evidence that microwave exposure, at any level, either causes or promotes cancer and other radioactive diseases.

Besides these, another argument against microwave ovens is that, food doesn’t get heated evenly, which means there are cold spots and hot spots. Bacteria and other microorganisms can flourish in the cold spots.

- But this argument can be countered too. Smaller portions cook more evenly than large portions. Thorough heating is possible, simply by chopping the food into small and similar sized chunks.

You can also ensure a more even temperature, by using shallow and round containers, rather than the square and high-topped containers in the commercial convection ovens.

There are different kinds of microwave ovens in the market. Some noteworthy are Merrychef microwave ovens, Panasonic commercial microwave, commercial pizza ovens… Get one today and serve yourself, your family, friends & guests with tasty, healthy and delicious food!

James Zimmerman is a freelance writer. James recommends visiting www.regale.co.uk/ http://www.regale.co.uk/ for more information on microwave ovens.
