The motherboard is the largest and one of the most important components of your computer. It’s reliability and health is utmost important.

Once you have picked out and purchased your motherboard you are ready for installation.

Carefully remove the motherboard from the box, do not remove it out of the ESD (electro static discharge) bag. Do a quick inventory to make sure you have all of your parts. Most likely you should have all of you IDE cables for the hard drive and cdrom, and possibly I/O plate. If you purchased a motherboard that support ATA hard drives you should have those cables.

Once you have verified that you have all the parts, pick up the user manual, and read through it, you don’t have to read it from cover to cover but you want to familiarize yourself with the motherboard, in addition many motherboard manufactures will also include a quick installation guide so take a look at that also.

Now you are ready, your work area should be clean and static free. Put on your anti static wrist band, if you have one. A anti static wrist band is just basically a cloth wrist band that has a snap on stretchable cable that is grounded, the grounded surface area helps keep electrostatic discharge in control.

Remove the motherboard from the box and all of the parts. Then remove the motherboard from ESD bag and lay it inside the empty box. Cut open your ESD bag on each side and turn it inside out so that you can lay your motherboard inside of it. Just laying your new motherboard on top of your ESD bag is not enough protection from electro static discharge.

Prepare your computer chassis. If you have already installed and mounted your power supply, tie the power cords out of your way with some wire ties, or some Velcro. You need a clear path from the opening of your chassis to the bottom of your chassis, where your motherboard will be mounted.

Something’s you need to think about before you drop your new motherboard into your chassis is, cooling. Depending on what type of processor you have purchased, the processor may run hot. So you have to think about good ventilation for your chassis. Heat can destroy your new investment in a matter of hours. If you do not already have at least two exhaust fans on your chassis you may have to think about actually cutting a hole either at the top of your chassis or on the side to mount the exhaust fans. Ok pick your jaw off the ground; it’s not as bad as it sounds. If you have a dremel with a cutting blade it can be very easy. Use an old CD as a template and draw around the CD with a washable marker. Then just follow the line with your dremel. Now you don’t have to do this, you can buy a chassis with plenty of exhaust fans already installed, so that is something to consider when you are in the process of buying all of your parts.

Now let’s get back to installing your new motherboard. Once you have a clear path to the bottom of your computer chassis, make sure that you have your bag of screws handy, and a long neck Philips screw driver. Take a look at the motherboard mounts, they are installed inside your chassis, these are the mounts that you will align with the holes on the motherboard. If you do not have any mounts you will have to installed them your self. The hardware should have come with your chassis if your chassis is new; if not make sure you save your screws, when you remove your old mother board.

Remove the old I/O plate and install the new one, take a look at the manual for reference. Make sure that it is secure. Look at the mounts that are on the bottom of your, chassis you want to make sure that you line up the mounts with the holes that are drilled on your mother board. (Important DO NOT DRILL ANY HOLES IN YOUR MOTHERBOARD) Angle the motherboard so that I/O ports will match with the holes on the I/O plate. There is a good chance that you might need to remove the break away pieces of metal the cover some I/O holes on the I/O plate. It is a good idea to check for proper match before installing the mother board.

As you angle the motherboard towards the I/O plates make sure that mounting holes on the motherboard are lining up with the mounts on the chassis. Gently push the motherboard towards the back of the chassis so that the I/O ports are snug against the I/O plate, and that all of the ports are protruding all the way out.

Once you have the motherboard correctly align with the I/O plate you are ready to mount the motherboard to the chassis with the screws provided. Tighten each screw down so that they are snug; do not over tighten the screws.

Use the manual as your guide and connect the power LED, speaker, reset switch ECT, coming off of the chassis to the F_panel (Front Panel) of your motherboard. Since each motherboard will be slightly different make sure to refer to the manual for exact instruction.

Fire Prevention:

What kinds of things can you and your family do to actually prevent a fire?

1. Identify potential fire sources in your home such as the stove and other cooking equipment, heaters, portable heaters, water heater, etc. Make sure nothing flammable is stored near these heat sources. That includes pot holders and towels near the stove, or flammable items stored above the stove. Don’t tempt your children to reach above the stove for candy or cereal - store those types of items away from any heat source.

2. When cooking make sure you’re not wearing loose, long sleeves which could catch fire.

3. Don’t smoke in bed.

4. Don’t locate heaters within three feet of your bedding or other flammable upholstery.

5. Keep matches and lighters away from children.

6. Help prevent electrical fires by making sure not to overload electrical circuits. When not using them make sure you unplug unnecessary appliances.

7. Use extra precautions when using candles, especially around children and pets. Don’t allow candles to burn unattended.

6. Consider purchasing a fire blanket which can be used to extinguish a fire, such as a fire on the stove. Keep the blanket handy in the kitchen.

7. If a fire occurs in your home make sure you get yourself and your family out as quickly as you can, but try not to panic. If you are in your room and don’t know if it’s safe to open the door, check the temperature of the door. If it’s hot don’t open it. One way to check for heat is to check the temperature of the doorknob by spitting on it. If it sizzles and evaporates you know there’s probably fire on the other side of the door. If trapped inside be sure to cover smoke entry points with wet towels or blankets. And yell for help or call 911 immediately. 1. Clean out your house - Look around your house/garage. Do you have anything you don’t use anymore, doesn’t fit, given as a gift but you didn’t want it to begin with? Sell it on eBay. Take your item, do a search on eBay and see what similiar items are going for now. You can do a short 3 day sale, or a 7 day sale, depending on how quickly you need the cash. Take good quality digital photos of your item, and make sure your description covers everything. If your items are quite large, and too expensive to ship, offer a pick up only option, to lure those in your area to bid on your item. Be realistic about the price as well. If you start the bid too high, you may end up getting no bids at all. Many times a lower starting bid will start a bidding war in the end between people who have gotten the auction itch and now want your item regardless of the price. When I sell on eBay, I prefer buyers who either send me a money order, or PayPal only. It gives you better options in the end.

2. Organize a neighborhood yard sale - Get you and your neighbors together to have a commuinty yard sale. Put the money you would’ve spent that week in a jar. By the end of the month you could have anywhere between $80 - 200 dollars at the end of the month, depending on how much you were spending.

4. Offer your services - If you bake well, or are crafty, tell your friends that you’ll make those school cookies, or teacher’s gifts for a nominal fee. Some parents may even like it if you delivered those items as well, which you could add to your cost.

5. Look in the paper for temp jobs - if you have the time, perhaps only on the weekend, see if local stores are offering seasonal jobs that would give you extra spending money. Even better would be an employee discount, where you could use your extra cash for gitf buying.

What is most amazing about this story, this woman, is her faith, and through that faith her ability to forgive the people who killed her family and heal her own life. Dr. Wayne W. Dyer said of Ms. Llibagiza in a recent email I received introducing her book, Immaculee’s journey will undoubtedly change the way we view faith - forever. It’s a story of love for God that was so strong that hatred and revenge were forced to dissolve in its presence. In this same email, Dr. Christiane Northrup shared her thoughts: Immaculee is a stunningly beautiful woman who emanates peace and light. Her story is one that confirms the existence of a power of Divine Source. After reading her book I came to understand and trust at a whole new level that true communion with God is possible for every one of us. Immaculee Llibagiza is someone who has lived into Jesus words: By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for on another(John ‘2:35).

As you read these words people’s lives are, again, literally being destroyed. Sudanese government militia have invaded the Darfur region of their own country and are burning people’s homes to the ground and systematically killing whole families - men, women and children. The violence is now moving across the Western border of Sudan into Chad and into the refugee camps that offer only minimal protection from the violence. In a recent news release from the international relief organization, Care, another woman’s story was told. Zeriba is twenty-two years old. Her home was burned and as she ran for her life with her children, the militia followed them to steal their cattle, the only resource she had left. While she and her family escaped, they had to walk for days to reach a refugee camp. She gave birth to her twins two days after arriving at the camp, but could not bear to name them until they had survived a full week.

Thousands of people are living in these camps, people who have no shelter from the weather or continuous raids by the militia. They do not have enough food or water. Zeriba is one among so many that her full story will likely never be known.

But make no mistake. This is another holocaust. In what is being called the first genocide of the twenty-first century, 180,000 people have already been murdered in the last three years and another 200,000 have been forced from their homes. Imagine that everything you depend on, everything you are sure of in your life was suddenly torn away and you were left standing with nothing but fear propelling you forward with pure survival instinct. That is what the people of Darfur are feeling right now.

Immaculee Llibagiza’s journey is one I pray that I am only faced with sharing in the reading of her book. But I am compelled to open my heart to the deep pain and horror she and her country faced. As I have learned of her story and the life-threatening events unfolding in Darfur, it is clear to me that one informs the other and we cannot ignore either if we are, as people of faith, to claim any connection to living that faith accurately in God’s name. When we speak of Biblical martyrs, Jesus’ words about whom we should fear are often quoted, a reminder that eternal life is the real focus, not the number of years we are given here on earth. I cannot quote those words here without feeling shallow and ashamed, knowing my faith requires and demands more of me. I do not know what it is to look murderous evil in the face and live.

What happened in Rwanda was horribly wrong. What is happening now in Darfur is even more horribly wrong because we are aware of what is happening. Our own president has said another holocaust would not happen on his watch. Again, as people of faith we have a moral obligation and a faithful obligation to discern how to be and to act in this situation. The simple truth is that our faith, though personal, is not a solo act. We were created for community and the people healing in Rwanda and those needing our help in Darfur are part of our community. There are many choices of faith to be made, those of prayer for safety and refuge, research to understand this conflict and the people involved, contributions of our voices to political actions that can help protect the Sudanese people, and choices to contribute to the organizations in Darfur who are providing for the immediate needs of refugees seeking hope and peace from their pain and suffering.

Even though Immaculee Llibagiza’s journey is highly personal, something we may never be able to fully grasp or understand, she is also a part of our community. She is able to teach us forgiveness and love as active tools of God’s grace in the face of humanity turned evil. She is able to teach us by stunning example what it is to hold fast to God and God’s love in the face of death times one million souls. A Buddhist saying I encountered several years ago speaks of forgiveness in these words: Because of deep love, we are courageous. I believe this is the kind of love Jesus spoke of, and the quality and power of forgiveness born of this love cannot be underestimated.

There’s no doubt that any number of factors can work against our goal of healthy aging. Genetics certainly play a part in the way we age, but only about a third of the aging process is attributable to our genes. The rest is completely within our control.

The most powerful hip abductor is the gluteus medius. It is supplied by the superior gluteal nerve (L4, L5 and S1). The L5 nerve root has the strongest representation in this muscle. The other hip abductors are the other muscles are tensor fascia latae and gluteus minimus which are also supplied by the superior gluteal nerve.

Hip abduction can be tested with the patient supine with the thighs spread apart. The examiner then pushes the thigh inward to the midline. The hip abductors can also be tested with the patient lying on his side with the tested side uppermost. The patient then lifts the thigh up against gravity.

The most functional way of testing for hip abduction is to have the patient stand on one limb. If he is standing on his right leg and if he has weakness in his right hip abductor muscles his opposite hip will drop. This testing is called the Trendelenburg testing. To prevent the left hip from dropping in the case of a right hip abductor weakness, the patient may lean over to the right. This is also an indicator of weakness of the hip abductors on the right side..

Rechargeable Batteries will require time to cool off prior to being recharged and so running multiple races will usually require keeping extra batteries on hand. Nitro boats on the other hand do not require expensive rechargeable batteries. A 10-12 ounce tank of fuel will last up to 12 minutes in a race. Running additional races requires nothing more then a refilled tank. the only disadvantage to running a model on nitro is the noise made by the motor, which is considerably louder then the noise made by an electric motor.

These boat covers may be made from a number of different materials in a variety of grades. The strongest will protect against mold, mildew, water, Ultraviolet light, and dust. The basic ones will protect against light and moisture. No matter which grade you purchase both will go a long way to ensuring that your model boat lasts for many years to come.
