The Wedding Singer (DVD) Review

August 20th, 2008 by roseannasblog628

A breakout comeback role for Drew Barrymore, The Wedding Singer is most likely Adam Sandler’s most enduring comedy film so far. Quite unlike other Sandler films, The Wedding Singer takes itself more seriously than Billy Madison or Happy Gilmore, perhaps because of its status as a romantic comedy. But whatever it is that makes this film different, it’s quite charming. And the on screen chemistry between Sandler and Barrymore is what drives the story…

The Wedding Singer focuses on the life of Robbie Hart (Adam Sandler), an aging twenty-something wedding singer whose dreams of rock star success are far from fruition. Sandler is perfect in this role which requires a lot of banter and ad lib with wedding parties. As the film begins, Robbie is singing at a wedding reception where Julia Sullivan (Drew Barrymore) is busing tables with her cousin Holly (Christine Taylor). The two meet outside where they assist (in vomiting) a young guest who got into the wedding champagne.

Robbie helps lift Julia’s spirits when he tells her about his own impending wedding to Linda (Angela Featherstone). Julia has moved into town to be with her fiancĂ© Glenn (Matthew Glave), pompous jerk who she has doubts about.

But when Robbie’s fiancĂ© Linda dumps him because he hasn’t turned out to be the rock star she always hoped for, the event drives Robbie into a deep depression. Singing songs such as Love Sucks at a subsequent wedding reception, he ends up getting drunk and ruining the gig. The father of the bride punches him out, but Julia is there to come to Robbie’s aid.

Over time, Robbie and Julia fall in love, but they can never find the right situation to tell each other how they feel. When Julia finally decides to tell Robbie, she knocks his door, but it’s answered by Linda (who decided she made a mistake in leaving Robbie). Coming home the night before in a drunken stupor, Robbie was unaware she had stayed over. Linda tells Julia that she and Robbie are back together, which prompts Julia to beg Glenn to go to Vegas to get married. Glenn agrees, and they book the next flight to Las Vegas.

When Robbie finds out what Linda has done, he tells her off and goes to find Julia. Holly tells her about the flight to Las Vegas, and Robbie rushes to the airport. Buying a ticket for the next flight to Vegas, Robbie ends up in first class on the very plane that Julia and Glenn are on. Together, with the help of other passengers, her sings a love song to Julia and the two are united forever…

A touching film, The Wedding Singer is also a hilarious romantic comedy the entire family will enjoy. A great 80’s soundtrack accompanies the film which is certain to satisfy that era’s music buffs. Overall, this is a definite must-see comedy and probably the best Adam Sandler film to date.

Blessed Hope

August 20th, 2008 by roseannasblog628

Where are you planning to be for Thanksgiving this year? Personally held as my favorite holiday, I love the aromas of traditional foods blending with the feast of friends and family gathered to share good company, good food and lots of stories.

I am also not delusional. Thanksgiving was declared a national holiday by President Lincoln during the middle of the Civil War. Many families, with no Christmas gifts to distract their attention, have annually reenacted that dark time in our country’s history at their holiday tables and will probably give it another go around this year. Traditional behavior patterns sometimes are part of the family festival landscape and are even more difficult to adjust than the menu.

Nonetheless, here we are. Thanksgiving is two days away. Last year at this time President Bush, with extraordinarily low approval ratings, was talking troop withdrawals while he pardoned a turkey from certain death-for-dinner. This year, that low presidential approval rating was brought home at the polls in a midterm election that handed the House and the Senate back over to Democratic control. As a result, the reality of dialogue between the White House and Congress is at hand, and U.S. involvement in the deteriorating situation in Iraq is already poised to be reconsidered and redirected. My assumption is that last year’s pardoned turkey will be joined by a similarly-saved buddy. Each will have their chance to live a peaceful life of solitude down on the farm.

Things have changed a bit here in the United States this past year. We have mutually agreed to keep a few things in place, including the turkey pardoning, but mostly, our voice has said, No More. If we want to move forward as a country and make a positive impact on the world, we must change our perception of ourselves, our agenda with other countries and accept the reality that we don’t have the right to do as we please, whenever we please.

What I am most grateful for this year, as I prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving with my family and friends, is the blessing of hope. This majestic turn of events in our government means people are paying attention, making conscious choices, and for that I can only breathe a prayer of gratitude to God. If we can begin to govern ourselves more sensibly, I hope and I believe that we can offer that same consciousness to supporting the people in the world who need us most. We have great wealth, we have great influence, and we can implement this blessing of hope to protect the people of Darfur, heal the HIV/AIDS victims in Malawi, Kenya and Zimbabwe, and help rebuild Granada, Indonesia and Pakistan, countries who still suffer the effects of hurricane, tsunami and earthquake. Our blessing of hope can be realized as resurrection in the lives of people who are most yearning for new life.

Advent is about to welcome us to prepare for the coming of the Christ among us. But, before we begin that journey to Bethlehem, for a moment we have the chance to pull back from our tables of abundance filled with food, love, joy and laughter, and take hold of what we already have. We are blessed as a country, we are blessed as many communities, we are blessed as individuals. Remembering all that we have sets forth the path of faithful gratitude to God, who blesses us with all good things. Knowing this, we must seek to embody our hope as justice for all of God’s people. Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for God who has promised is faithful (Hebrews 10:23).

Happy Thanksgiving

Script Writing: How To Write A Good Script

August 19th, 2008 by roseannasblog628

As a writer, your dream on making it big in the entertainment industry is selling a script and making a movie out of it.

Movies are one of the best forms of entertainment in the world. Since the invention and advancement in movie technology, people were always fascinated on how a movie works.

One of the most important necessities to make a good movie is not the graphic effects you see. You have to know that there have been movies done without much special effects and still won awards and really entertained people.

You have to consider that fact that actors, directors, and even producers have been successful because of one thing. They have been successful because they had a good script to follow.

A script can mean the difference of making a complete movie disaster and also making it big and win awards. If you want to be a script writer, you have to make a movie script that will catch the attention of movie goers. It should be able to entertain the audience and should contain all the necessary things in a movie.

Script writing is not something that only a select few can do, it is something that a regular person with enough imagination can learn, apply and develop. There is even script writing schools available that can help you enhance your script writing skills.

The ever growing demand for movies has made a market for good scripts. If you like to write, you may want to consider writing a script. Script writing can truly be a very rewarding job. If you do it right, you can be sure that you can really make your dreams come true by just writing a script for a movie. If you are successful, you can be sure that you will be in constant demand by the movie industry.

All you need is to have a great sense of imagination, a computer, and a printer.

The first thing you need to do as a scriptwriter is that you should catch the audience’s imagination early. Write a script that will play around with the audience’s imagination. Once you have their attention, it will be much easier to continue with the script. Always make your audience wonder what’s going to happen next.

A good script should get the audience involved as the story unfolds. For example, great heroes in the movies should inspire your audience, and villains should make the audience feel the need to jump onto the screen.

These are some of the things you should always remember when writing a script. At times, you may get stuck. This can be frustrating but getting stuck will mean that you made a mistake somewhere in the script. Review your script, edit it, and move on.

So, if you have a sense of imagination, you can write a perfect script. Who knows, maybe you can make it big in the movie industry. Maybe someday, you might even win an award for writing a great script for a movie.

Always remember that writing a script can also mean hard work. With patience, you will really see that all those hard work will pay off.

Whether you are writing a script for drama, action, comedy, or a thriller movie, you should always remember that the key to writing a good script is by capturing the audience’s imagination.

Caring for the Orphaned Foal

August 19th, 2008 by roseannasblog628

There’s nothing worse than looking forward to the arrival of a well-bred foal, only to lose the mare during the birthing process. While raising a foal orphaned at birth can be extremely challenging, there are ways to up the odds of the foal surviving to become a productive member of equine society.

The Importance of Colostrum

The first task at hand should be ensuring that the foal gets a sufficient amount of colostrum. Colostrum, which is the mare’s first milk, is loaded with disease-and infection-fighting antibodies. Because mares don’t pass antibodies to their foals during pregnancy, adequate colostrum consumption is necessary for the newborn to be protected against disease.

About 12 hours after birth gastrointestinal absorption of colostrum begins to decrease, and absorption is only minimal after 24 hours. Colostrum can be bottle fed the orphaned foal, or given via stomach tube by a vet. Ideally, two or three liters of colostrum should be divided into three or four doses, which should be given at hourly intervals.

Where do you get colostrum? First of all, if a mare is at risk of dying, colostrum should be harvested. In addtion, breeders should always collect a little extra from foaling mares to have on hand in emergencies, providing the mare has enough colostrum. In most cases, about 200 to 500 ml of colostrum can be milked from a mare without compromising the antibodies she passes on to her foal. The colostrum can then be frozen and used when necessary.

Nutrition

Once enough colostrum has been consumed by the foal, the next order of business is to establish a good nutrition plan. Breeders have two basic options when feeding the orphaned foal. They can (1) use a nurse mare or goat; or (2) bottle feed the foal by hand.

Because it significantly reduces the amount of labor nurse mares are always the first choice. However, nurse mares are hard to find, and even when they are found sometimes refuse to nurse the foal. A milk-producing goat can also be used with some modifications.

In most cases, a manual feeding plan is developed. These can be quite labor-intensive! In the beginning, the foal is usually fed mare’s milk, goat’s milk, or a powdered substitute. Many breeders also used tried-and-true homemade mare’s milk substitutes. Within a few weeks foals should be able to begin eating solid foods such as grain, grass, or hay.

So, how much does a foal eat? Well, you might be surprised to learn that a suckling foal can consume as much as 25 percent of its body weight per day of a milk replacer without stomach distress. These means that a 100-pound foal can consume 25 pounds-or 50 cups-of milk per day. Wow! To this end, it’s always a good idea to teach your foal to drink from a bucket. It will cut down on the amount of time you need to spend manually feeding! It’s also worth mentioning that smaller, more frequent meals are healthier for the foal than larger, less frequent meals.

General Health

It’s important to keep a close eye on the newborn’s general health, especially if mare was sick before delivery. A sick mare can sometimes result in an undernourished foal. Check to see that your foal stands, walks, and exhibits the sucking reflex within two or three hours of birth. Watch foals that appear healthy carefully to make sure they don’t deteriorate within the first 24 hours, which is not uncommon.

* * * * *

While many believe an orphaned foal’s growth and health will be compromised, this is not always the case. With proper colostrum intake, as well as a good feeding and care regimen, your foal should suffer no long-term effects.

What Not To Do When Submitting Your Manuscript To A Publisher

August 19th, 2008 by roseannasblog628

Once your manuscript is complete you are ready to begin your search for the publisher that will best meet your needs. Research your genre to find publishers who accept what you have written. Look at books that they have already published and determine where your story will fit in.

Once you have found a publisher who catches your eye, make sure that you take the time to carefully read their submission guidelines. You may have written the most wonderful story in the world, but if you do not follow the publishers specifications, you may find that your manuscript will lie untouched at the bottom of a pile of submissions from authors who did follow the rules.

Once you have read the guidelines, you are ready to work on preparing your submission. You might need to go back and fix your spacing and indentations to the specifications of whatever publisher you are submitting to. You need to now write a query letter that introduces you as an author, your novel and your level of experience in writing. This should include a brief biography and a list of publishing credits. In the query letter, let the publisher know why your story is different, who will be your target audience and how do you plan to market your novel.

The synopsis should be a 2-4 page summary of the story including the ending. It should be well thought out and follow your plot line from beginning to end. Often this is the first sample of writing that a publisher looks at. A publisher knows if it was thrown together at the last minute. You should take as much time and care with your synopsis as you would with any scene of your novel.

Having a plan of action should your novel get published is an important tool of preparation for you. Let your potential publisher know how you plan to get your name out there. Will you do book signings, contests, chats, online signings, book club readings or placement into independent bookstores. Do you have a website? Do you have any special groups that you know would be interested in this type of novel. This is called a promotional plan and some publisher require it. Whether it is required or not, this is a good tool to develop prior to submission.

There are also a number of things that you should not do when submitting a manuscript. First is to send a manuscript with no query letter or synopsis. Publishers like to get an idea of what the story is about before plunging into a novel.

Second, make sure that the guidelines are followed. If the publisher specifies that all submissions should be double spaced in times new roman font, saved as an RTF file. Do not send something that is single spaced in a gothic font saved as a PDF.

Third, do not tell the publisher how wonderful your work is, or how much you think he or she will enjoy it. Stick strictly to the facts.

Fourth, do not write the publisher over and over again asking if they have yet read your manuscript. Most publishers will list an average response time. Only after that time has passed should you contact the publisher for an update.

Finally, when your Manuscript, make sure that your document is appropriately labeled with your name, pen name, title of the book, word count and email address. When manuscripts are sent by email, your document is often saved in another location. This manuscript could quite possibly be passed to various staff within the company in order to find the line that best fits your title. If there is not identifying information on the Manuscript itself, a publisher can not respond to you.

Overall, when you are submitting your work, remember be professional, be kind, be respectful and be patient. The publisher is working hard to review works and put out the best quality pieces to our public. As an author, it is your job to follow some simple guidelines when submitting a manuscript in order to allow the process to go smoothly and your work to be accepted.

August 19th, 2008 by roseannasblog628

It is clear some people want to have parrot as pet. If you are that person, you may be anxious about getting the finest one for your personal satisfaction, care and business. Parrots are for sale all around, and selling such pet is 100% different from selling home commodities. It will need time and dedication.

This will be a guide if you want know what species you would prefer. Here are the descriptions of selected parrots perfect for sale:

1. LOVEBIRDS - very adorable little small breed from Africa, lovebirds can be tamed like common parrots except for the aggressiveness towards opposite sex, the male rubs the perch as a distinct sexual behavior, which is quite disturbing to some owners. They have to be housed in different cages. Generally, lovebirds are excellent in parenting their siblings and very good in breeding.

2. AFRICAN GREYS - More than vanity, this parrot specie is the best sound imitator from among the species. It doesn’t mean this parrot has to be on high sale just because of the talking qualities. Owners getting disappointed with non-talking African Grey specie often tends to neglect their pets afterwards.

3. COCKATIELS - Lovely because of the distinct pointed crown, this specie can learn tricks easily, very affectionate, and can live to a life span of 15 to 20 years given the proper care. The coating on its feather can cause allergies. Cockatiels have this distinct behavior when left in dark, which can cause self-injury.

4. SENEGAL PARROTS - Medium-sized specie good for apartments because of its more quiet behavior. Much adept in imitating sounds of surroundings than distinct speech of people. It is not recommended for outdoor and spacious free walks as it can fly farther and get lost.

5. PARROTLETS - Comes in tiny sizes, this specie have no problem with dark places, considered brave. The voice is quite small, best if you only tolerate chirping when bred in a small flat or room. Prone to accidents, they must be looked after all the time when out of the cage.

6. CANARIES - Specifically attributed to Canary Island, after Romans named it. Canaries have three types. Song Canaries are known for the distinctive voice and singing. Color Canaries have attractive and bright colors, making the collecting of several varieties popular to breeders. Canaries are territorial and not so sociable. From among the parrots, this specie has the sweetest voice.

The sale of parrots worldwide happens silently. It comes with interest and passion, but believe it or not, thinking about the small world you can give to these lovely birds is a journey. Living with parrots is worth a quality life.

Natural Health for Pets: Nutrition for Dogs, Cats and Birds

August 19th, 2008 by roseannasblog628

Pet Health

Pets today suffer from allergies, skin problems, hypertension, heart disease, cancer, liver and kidney failure, and other serious illnesses. These conditions have been exacerbated by the tainted foods we feed our pets, and the lack of vitamins, minerals, enzymes and other nutrients in their diets. Commercial grade pet foods may contain harmful additives and processed grains, instead of high quality proteins. These foods weaken the immune system, providing the environment for disease to gain a foothold.

Improving your pet’s health is relatively simple. It is a matter of feeding your pets natural, whole foods, and ensuring a proper balance of vitamins, minerals and micronutrients is achieved. I recommend the following basic diets for dogs and cats, try them and watch your best friend grow healthier and happier before your very eyes!

All animals

If you have the means to feed your pets organic foods and filtered water, please do so! Organic vegetables can be grown cheaply and with little effort in your own garden, and I’m sure there’s a GSW Class on how to do it, as well as the GSW Gardening Club.

The easiest way to prepare vegetables is to use the pulp left over from juicing. I like my carrot, apple, beetroot and celery juice in the mornings, and there are plenty of nutrients left in the pulp to keep the dog and the birds healthy as well! If you don’t drink juices (you should, they’re great for you!), you’ll need to use a food processor, as they should be chopped up quite finely.

For meat-eating pets, try to get game meats, as they are generally leaner and free of all the hormones and antibiotics that are present in commercially grown meats. Also keep in mind that diced meat is better than minced. Here in Australia, many pet shops sell frozen diced kangaroo meat in 1kg packs (and 15kg boxes) at very reasonable prices.

Always add a good colloidal or crystalloid vitamin and mineral supplement and some high-grade Omega 3 and 6 oils.

Aged garlic extract, various herbs, enzymes, spirulina, bee pollen and kelp can also be added either on a regular basis or as needed, to ensure the highest level of well-being for your pet.

Dogs

Mix 1/3 raw vegetables (any except onions, which can be toxic to dogs), 1/3 cooked grains (white rice or pasta are acceptable, but whole grains or brown rice are preferable), and 1/3 raw meat. Add a splash of oil and serve - it’s that simple!

* Note that measurements are given as proportions rather than amounts, as serving sizes will vary considerably depending on the size of your dog.

Raw bones are also recommended once a day, especially marrowbone or kangaroo tails.

Cats

Unlike dogs, cats are almost exclusively carnivorous, and will do well on a meat-only diet. Give your cat raw meat, fish (whitebait is the perfect size for cats, and very inexpensive), or organic chicken. Feed in small portions twice a day, and remember to remove uneaten food before it spoils.

When allowed to go outside, cats will normally supplement this diet with herbs and grasses, which, apart from self-medicating, also supply nutrients that are not present in meat, such as chlorophyll. Therefore, it is especially important to supplement the diet of indoor cats who are not permitted to go outside with a good vitamin-mineral supplement.

Birds

Birds should always have a good mix of different grains and seeds as well as fresh water available. I also recommend giving birds some raw fruit and vegetables daily. It’s nice if you can give them some access to fresh grasses as well.

Some birds, especially parrots, will happily eat a whole apple or another fruit if you just cut it in half. Others need the fruit and veg to be chopped or pureed on the food processor. Be guided by what your birds like, but please, stick to foods that are naturally eaten by your species of bird!

Never give your chickens “layer pellets” as they are made with fish and meat meal - that is, ground up fish, cow and chicken bones - about as far from a natural diet as a chicken can get! Chickens’ diet should consist mainly of wheat, other grains and seeds, fruit and vegetables, grasses, any insects and worms they can capture. Look for “wild bird seed” in your supermarket - it’s great to mix in with their wheat and they love it! If you are able to let them out, even if for only a few hours a day, then do so! They will always return to their “coop” by sundown.

What now?

Whether your pet is healthy or has a health problem, try the natural diet recommended above first. Most animals will get better within a few weeks and will not need futher treatment. If problems persist, you can send me your questions and I will email you back (I try to respond to all emails) and also publish your question and my answer in the next article. August 19th, 2008 by roseannasblog628

How do I speed up my computer? Tough question, if you are not familiar to the computer and software, but not to worry I have found a free registry repair software.

The free registry repair works like a charm. Do you know how many millions of unused files laying in the system? Some clear the browser cache and use windows XP disk clean up and still is difficult as more are created by the third party programs, installers, java cache files, adware and virus programs etc, so why not use the free registry repair. I am sure this free registry repair will not slow your computer daily database operation.

Keep in mind that, thousands are recorded daily, every single time, when you change, install or move software, or hardware. So use the free registry repair to assist you.

A lot of time spends to check the file locations, hardware driver aspects, and many of the different settings, so I use the free registry repair to improve the quality performance.

It is not a lot of fun to know what files or settings are no longer needed. It is impossible when repairing the computer and the free registry repair will come in handy.

Tune UP Utilities will clean up as well as delete all the old inactive files. The free registry repair does not removes many of the uninstall programs, but only the files and installation that get cluttered up. And so does the speed on boot up and day-to-day operations. It’s a noticeable difference before and after you run the free registry repair. The free registry repair has a support area and forum on their web site for any questions and issues that you have when using the free registry repair software.

Most computer sites and magazines have given Tune UP Utilities, one of the free registry repairs, the highest marks for both reliability and results. It shows how good the free registry repair is, since these expert web sites are pretty thorough in testing and don’t give high rankings all that often.

Spider-Man 2 (DVD) Review

August 19th, 2008 by roseannasblog628

The summer blockbuster of 2004, Spider-Man 2 follows in the footsteps of its prequel with more thrilling action and enthralling special effects. Directed by Sam Raimi and based on the Stan Lee comic, the film follows the exploits of teenager (Peter Parker) bitten by a genetically modified spider. The spider bite results in the development of spider-like abilities on Peter’s behalf which he uses to become a crime-fighting superhero…

In this latest installment of the Spider-Man epic, Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) is once again busy fighting crime. In fact, his studies and personal relationships are greatly effected by the time he spends as a superhero. Peter’s love, Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst), is tired of being hurt by Peter who seems to never keep his commitments. Meanwhile, Peter’s friend Harry Osborn (James Franco) remains consumed with his vendetta against Spider-Man who he believes is responsible for the death of his father. Nevertheless, Harry still finds time to run his father’s corporation which deals with cutting edge technologies.

One of Harry’s employees is Dr. Otto Octavius (Alfred Molina), a brilliant and fascinating scientist, who takes the time to answer Peter’s interview questions for a college paper. The greatest creation of Octavius is a new energy source that he plans to unveil soon.

Meanwhile, Peter decides to give up his career as a superhero because of the devastating impact it’s having on his personal life. He attempts to have a reconciliation with Mary Jane, but she’s upset when he misses the play in which she’s starring. Showing up just as the doors close, Peter is forced to wait outside and ponder his fate. With Mary Jane involved in another relationship, things don’t look good for Peter’s love life.

Along with countless media and public figures, Peter attends Dr. Octavius’s unveiling of his master invention that will change the course of history. Working with the energy source requires that he use several mechanical tentacles that fit on his back and operate via a nanochip embedded in his brain. But when things go terribly awry, the invention explodes, and Dr. Octavius is the victim of his own invention which transforms him into Dr. Octopus.

In pursuit of his own aims, Dr. Octopus makes a deal with Harry Osborn. Dr. Octopus gets what he wants if Harry gets Spider-Man. Inevitably, Mary Jane is caught in the crosshairs, and Peter must once again assume his life as the web-weaving superhero. The result is a series of action-packed scenes with special effects that will more than satisfy fans and audience members… Can Spider-Man once again save the day? Will Peter get the girl? You’ll have to watch for yourself to find out.

Design A Business Card That Will Generate Business

August 19th, 2008 by roseannasblog628

Here are a few tips on creating a business card that will generate business for you…

A picture is worth a thousand words. Who would you hire to landscape your beautiful new home? Bob’s Landscaping Company that has a black & white card or Bill’s Landscaping Company that has the picture of a nice landscaped garden that he created? A custom designed full color business card can help you beat the competition.

There is a lot to the psychology of color, color affects shopping habits. Impulse-shoppers respond to red-orange, black, and royal blue. Shoppers who plan to stick to budgets respond to pink, teal, light blue and navy. Traditionalists respond to pastels. Bolder brighter colors appeal to those with lower incomes. Higher incomes ore attracted by more subtle colors. These tips must be used when designing your full color business card.

Your business card must have a Unique Selling Proposition. Simply stated a Unique Selling Proposition differentiates you from your competition. If you don’t have something different to offer, you better find something or save yourself a lot of aggravation and go work for your competition. It tells your prospects why they should do business with you versus the other guys. No, scratch that; it SCREAMS at your prospects why they MUST do business with you. Don’t make it hard for someone to conduct business with you.

Use the back of your business card. If your paying a penny a square inch for the front and the back is only going to cost you 2/10 of a cent per square inch, isn’t that a good investment? The back of your business card can be used in several ways. Entice your prospects to visit your business by placing an offer on the back. For example if you own a restaurant offer a free desert or appetizer. If you own an auto repair shop offer a free oil change. Be creative and stick out from your competition.

Print a memory hook on the back of your card. I know a distributor of air purification systems that prints “We Have A Solution To Your Pollution” on the back of his card. The phrase just begs you to ask him to explain it. A memory hook is a catchy phrase that will create enough interest that a person will ask questions. A memory hook also helps your prospect remember you.

Always hand your card to someone upside down. This will cause the person to turn the card over and read it, especially if you give them a reason such as a memory hook. How many times have you handed someone your business card and it barely gets a glance?

Your business card can double as a punch card. The restaurant can offer a free meal after purchasing ten meals or maybe movie tickets. Ask your local theater manager about some joint marketing efforts. The auto repair shop can offer a free oil change after purchasing ten or a free car wash. Again, a joint marketing possibility.

You are already paying for business cards, don’t waste them and get the most bang for your marketing buck.
